In 2022, the only new features for the Challenger are a security system and Key Programming Lockdown.The new alarm system is incorporated into the Driver Convenience Group Package from Dodge and is an optional upgrade in the SXT. This new alarm system includes an alert for any intrusion detected. The alarm will automatically sound if the vehicle is moved or the glass is broken.
Key Programming Lockdown is a new upgrade for all Challengers, from 2015 to the latest models. This feature prevents thieves from stealing a vehicle and programming a new key fob.

The 2022 Dodge Challenger SXT comes in two models; rear-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive. Both these models are equipped with a 3.6L V6 petrol-powered engine mated to an 8-Speed TorqueFlite Automatic Transmission.Challenger SXT with rear-wheel drive has an MSRP of $37,665.
Challenger SXT with all-wheel drive has an MSRP of $41,065.
The rear-wheel drive Challenger can be expected to return fuel consumption of ± 12 L/100km in the city and 8 L/100km on the highway. For the all-wheel drive version, you reduce those numbers to 11 l/100km in the city and 7 L/100km on the open road.

This technologically advanced system will seamlessly change from rear-wheel drive to all-wheel drive without the driver intervening. Under normal driving conditions, the engine's torque is directed to the rear wheels. When the vehicle's sensors detect additional traction is required, the system will automatically engage the front axle transitioning into all-wheel drive mode.
